Top 7 Tips For Calorie Burning

 Calorie Burning

These are just a few habits you can embrace to start revving your metabolism right away. You may have heard stories about people who have lost dozens of pounds simply switching to diet soda or walking a few minutes each day. These are all small habits that contribute to a big difference and increase your metabolism over time.  You will make weight loss quicker and easier by increasing your metabolic rate and burning more calories.

1) Move More

Sedentary people burn about one-third less calories per day.  By simply taking every opportunity to move can make quite a dramatic difference to the amount of calories you burn in one day. Small movements will add up over time to lots of calories.  The trick is to keep moving throughout your day. Write the word ‘move’ on post-it notes and put them in places you’ll notice them when you’re sitting still. Then, take every opportunity to move, here’s some ideas for burning extra calories:

  • Tap your feet
  • Swing your legs
  • Stand up and stretch
  • Move your head from side to side
  • Change position
  • Wriggle and fidget
  • Pace up and down
  • Use the restroom upstairs
  • Park in the furthest corner of the parking lot
  • Stand up when you’re on the phone and step from side to side
  • Clench and release your muscles

2) Eat Little and Often

Evidence suggests that eating small meals every 2-4 hours will keep your metabolism burning faster than larger, less frequent meals. When you eat small amounts often your body is constantly working to digest and absorb food which requires energy.

3) Eat Fat

If you want feel good and keep the fat off you need to first put it in.  Fat not only tastes good our bodies need it to work efficiently.  By consuming several servings of ‘healthy’ fats every day you will actually increase your calorie burning potential.  Try incorporating fats like Flaxseed oil, hempseed oil, olive oil, avocados, salmon, albacore tuna, nuts and seeds into your diet daily.

4) Drink Cold Water

Evidence shows that your body might expend more calories trying to raise cold water to the temperature of your body then hot beverages. And overall being well hydrated will help your body’s metabolic processes burn quicker.

5) Exercise With Weights

Training with weights boosts your metabolism in a number of ways. By lifting weights you will build muscle tissue. And muscle tissue is metabolically active, so it requires calories even when at rest and so it helps to increase fat-burning enzymes in your body.

6) Spice up

Eating hot spices might speed up your metabolism.  Just half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day can help boost metabolism and keep blood sugar levels in check. Can’t stand the thought of cinnamon in your morning cup of coffee? Spice up with cayenne, crushed red pepper or wasabi.

7) Eat More Protein

Protein requires a more complex chemical breakdown by your body in order to be digested and used as fuel. For example, 100 calories of protein may take up to 30 calories to process.   Protein also takes longer to digest and helps to stabilize blood sugar for longer periods of time  and this can help you to not overeat later in the day.  Eat a portion of protein at every meal and as part of your snacks and you will increase the total number of calories you burn each day.

Yoga And Weight Loss Are A Great Combination

Shedding extra pounds may not be as easy as some would like to think, which is why there are so many fad diets coming up each year. The truth is, diet alone doesn't work, and anyone who is overweight understands it. The solution involves exercise, and nothing goes better together than yoga and weight loss, in combination with eating right.

Yoga exercises help people in many ways. The role of yoga in weight loss is incomparable to any other form of exercise because it helps to tone the muscles but is easy on the body. Other types of exercises cause more stress to the body, like running or other aerobic forms which can hurt joints and be exceedingly tiresome.

The fact remains that gaining extra pounds happens gradually. It's unheard of for anyone to wake up several pounds heavier than they were the day before. Instead what happens is that the body begins to store fat, ounce by ounce, leading to the end result where nothing fits in the person feels awful in many ways. So, the solution requires a commitment to serious lifestyle changes.

One of the biggest problems for people with regards to gaining weight is that they consume an overabundance of calories. More than that, those calories come from junk food. The solution to that is easy, if someone puts their mind to it. Begin with shopping smart at the grocery store and start cooking at home. Prepackaged foods come with a lot of packaged problems because they contain far too many calories in comparison to any home cooked meal would.

Additionally, packaged foods contain many preservatives to extend their shelf life, be that on a shelf, in the fridge or in the freezer. What's more is that they are full of dangerous amounts of salt and sugar that can be very destructive to one's health. Look around and see how many people are suffering from chronic diseases, and just study what they eat. These people generally don't move around enough, either, making a recipe for disaster.

The way people eat and live their daily lives must be changed

in order for positive results to be experienced. A sedentary lifestyle is a precursor to disease, and it doesn't do much for one's appearance. Instead, people have to eat right and exercise, and that will make them more energetic. No matter what one's physical condition or one's age, yoga is an excellent form of exercise because it's calming and relaxing, to begin with.

One of the best ways to shed extra pounds and toned muscles is through using one's own body weight. Stretching is vital to good health, especially as people get older. Age takes a toll on the body, more so when someone has not followed a healthy regime throughout their years. Joints start to hurt, organs are not running at their best, and people start to feel aches and pains virtually anywhere and everywhere.

Through meditation and slow movements, anyone can get into shape. They can also do so even if they are feeling the aches and pains that come with age. The positive effects will be felt almost from the start, and will only increase as time passes.

As putting on the extra pounds takes time, so does taking them off. Having said that, the best way to do that is to take them off slowly but effectively. Yoga is excellent because it allows people to progress at their own pace. Easy positions and exercises can be mastered and a beginner can proceed to an intermediate level which will result in more positive effects on the body.

In addition to the above benefits, the individual will also become stronger and more flexible while combating stress. Therefore, they'll also feel better on the mental level. However, to really shed those extra pounds, it's best to include some form of aerobic exercise but easy on the body, such as walking. This is necessary because it raises one's heart rate, an important part of shedding pounds.

Finally, those who take on this form of exercise will sleep better and feel more refreshed. They will experience an improvement in their posture as well. A last tip is to choose a form of yoga that provides more vigorous exercise to really see the inches come off.

Here are the Top 14 best anti-cancer super fruits and why they are so good for you:

GRAPES

A grape is a perennial and deciduous woody vine. Its berries can be eaten raw or be made into juice, jam, jelly, wine, raisins, and others. Grapes are found in almost all parts of the world. Grapes contain phytochemicals such as resveratrol which has been positively implicated to inhibit any type of cancer.

DRAGON FRUIT

Dragonfruit is rich in phytoalbumin antioxidants which help carcinogenic free-radical formation in the body. It is also rich in fiber, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamins C and B2, as well as its helps excrete metal toxins from the body.

CITRUS FRUITS

Citrus fruits include orange, lemon, grapefruit, etc. This kind of fruits contains a large number of bioflavonoids, which can enhance the activity of certain enzymes in human skin, lung, stomach and liver, and change the fat-soluble carcinogenic substance into water-soluble, so as to make them not easy to be absorbed and can be expelled out of the body. At the same time, they can enhance the absorptive capacity of vitamin C by the human body. Vitamin C is an important cancer substance, which can enhance human immunity, prevent the formation of nitrosamines–a strong carcinogen. What’s more, it also has certain effect in the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer.

A study published a few years ago in the journal Nutrition and Cancer, for instance, found that people who consume the highest amounts of flavonoids and proanthocyanidins, a subgroup of flavonoids, were 44 percent less likely to develop oral cancer, 40 percent less likely to develop laryngeal cancer, and 30 percent less likely to develop colon cancer compared to others.

AVOCADO

Avocados contain lutein, an anti-cancer carotenoid. Lutein lowers the risk of prostate cancer in men and protects eyes against fatal diseases like macular degeneration and cataracts. Another cancer-fighting component of avocado is glutathione that can significantly cuts the incidence of oral and pharyngeal cancer. Avocados are also rich in potassium, vitamins, and heart-healthy fats.

STRAWBERRIES

Anti cancer action is actually related to the polyphenols contained in the berries, rather than in their antioxidant potential, as is commonly assumed. A diet containing a high proportion of strawberries or raspberries (5% or more of total diet) in animals, has been found to significantly decrease the number of esophageal tumors triggered by NMBA, a known powerful carcinogen. Ellagic acid appears to prevent the activation of carcinogenic substances into cellular toxins, causing them to lose their ability to react with DNA and induce mutations capable of triggering the onset of cancer. In addition, strawberry also contains a kind of amine substance, which has good effect in the prevention of leukemia and other diseases related with blood.

BLUEBERRIES

Researchers have shown blueberries contain pterostilbene, anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, resveratrol, flavonols, and tannins, which inhibit mechanisms of cancer cell development. Besides this, blueberry can also alleviate the effects of Alzheimer’s disease, prevent urinary tract infections, and reduce blood sugar.

ACAI BERRIES

Laboratory studies have shown that acai berries can kill off cancer cells. Extracts from the berries can induced the death of leukemia cells. Other beneficial contents of acai are its antioxidants (found to be twice than in blueberries), omega fatty acids, protein, vitamins A and C, iron, and fiber.

NONI

According to recent studies, noni has properties that may be beneficial in preventing cancer. The extract from the tropical plant indicates some anti-cancer properties useful for the immune system. Moreover, noni contains carbohydrates, dietary fibers, niacin, calcium, iron and potassium.

GOJI BERRIES

It has been found out that goji berries contain selenium, a trace mineral that acts an antioxidant which can neutralize free radicals that damage cells and cause cancer. Goji berries are also rich in other nutrients and phytochemicals like amino acids, carotenoids like beta-carotene and zeaxanthin, polysaccharides, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, iron, zinx, and riboflavin.

MANGOSTEEN

Mangosteen is anti-cancer and helps cancer prevention.
Various studies have shown that phytoceuticals in Mangosteen (in some cases known to be its xanthones) have properties such as: anti-tumor (shrinks tumors), anti-leukemia, antifungal (critical for all cancer patients), antibacterial (to protect DNA), antioxidants (at least two dozen different kinds of xanthones are in the mangosteen fruit), antiproliferation, kills cancer cells and causes apoptosis (programmed cell death) for some types of cancer. This is a pretty impressive list of cancer credentials!

This fruit has countless health benefits like ant-ulcer, anti-aging, antiviral, antibiotic, antifungal, anti-depressant, anti-obesity, anti-allergenic, anti-cataract, and many more.

Mangosteen also contains: catechins, polyphenols, minerals and vitamins.

SOURSOP

Soursop has anti-cancer characteristics and is best for all types of cancer. The fruit is also anti-stress, anti-bacterial, antifungal, anti-depressant, and anti-worms.

POMEGRANATE

Studies have reported that the fruits contain phytochemicals that can suppress aromatase, an enzyme which converts androgen into estrogen and which is associated with breast cancer. Furthermore, clinical trials have shown the pomegranate extracts can prevent prostate cancer in men.

KIWI

Kiwi contains plenty of vitamins, especially vitamin C, the content of which is 4 to 12 times as that of orange. Through the researches in recent years, it is confirmed that kiwi contains a kind of active ingredient, which can block the formation of carcinogenic “nitrosamines” in the human body. As a result, it has a good effect in preventing cancer.

APPLE

Apple peels contain as many as a dozen cancer-fighting chemical compounds, according to a study conducted by researchers at Cornell University and published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

“We found that several compounds have potent anti-proliferative activities against human liver, colon and breast cancer cells, and may be partially responsible for the anti-cancer activities of whole apples,” said Rui Hai Liu, an associate professor of food science.

The researchers extracted each individual chemical compound found in the peels of 230 pounds of Red Delicious apples. They then tested these compounds individually against cultures of cancer cells in the laboratory. They identified 12 compounds, called triterpenoids, which inhibited the growth of cancer cells or even killed them.

The Best Weight Loss Plan Guide

The Venus Factor is a diet and body sculpting course for women that aims to deliver a female physique with the most aesthetically pleasing dimensions. The creator of the program, John Barban, has used the Golden Mean to identify the “perfect” female measurement ratio. He calls this ratio the Venus Index, and has tailored his guide to helping women achieve it. He claims his course is much more than a weight loss program, as it goes well beyond shedding body fat. The guide is a hot seller with plenty of positive user feedback to its credit, so we took a closer look to see if it lives up to its reputation.

The first thing worth mentioning about The Venus Factor is that it is designed just for women. Barban discusses the key psychological and physiological differences between men and women at length. He claims that only a nutrition and exercise protocol designed specifically for the female physique can deliver optimal results. He takes his gender-specific approach a step farther by making the exercise and nutrition strategies customizable to individual women based on their height, weight, age and body type.

Program Components

Their are four core components that make up The Venus Factor System:

1) The main PDF manual, which can be printed out or read on any device. It contains a thorough explanation of the philosophy behind the course and step by step instructions for following the diet and exercise guidelines.

2) The Exercise Plan, which is a customized 12-week program that can be performed at home or in any health club or gym. A complete set of videos is included which shows users how to perform each of the recommended exercises.

3) The Virtual Nutritionist, which is a software application that will create a customized nutrition regimen based on the individual details you provide about yourself.

4) An Online Forum, where you can connect with other users, ask specific questions about the course and share tips and experiences with the community. Users can create and share podcasts, blog about their experiences and make friends with like-minded women.

Pros and Cons

The Venus Factor is certainly a solid program, but it may not be right for every woman. The strengths and weaknesses we found include:

Strengths:

The major strength of The Venus factor is that it is so easy to follow. The exercises are demonstrated and explained thoroughly in the videos, and the customized meal plans are full of healthy dishes that are easy to make and taste great. Even if you are new to the world of exercise and nutrition you will have no problem getting started and fulfilling the demands that are set forth.

Another big plus is that you do not need a gym membership or a home gym full of expensive equipment to complete the workouts. There are regimens that can easily be performed at home with only the most minimal equipment, so very little is required in the way of additional investments.

The third strength worth mentioning is that the diet program espoused by The Venus Factor does not require militant calorie counting or extreme depravation. Instead, the focus is on eating clean, whole foods in reasonable portions. This makes the regimen much easier to stick to and gets women in the habit of making smarter food choices even when they are not actively trying to lose weight.

Weaknesses:

The only real weakness of the course is that it is not necessarily the best choice for women who just want to lose a few pounds. The emphasis is on sculpting the ideal physique, which, for most women, will mean losing some fat while adding muscle to a few key areas.

Recommendation

The Venus Factor is a well designed program that helps women sculpt an eye-catching physique. It comes highly recommended to any woman who is serious about getting into great shape and learning how to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle. While the ultimate goal of the course is quite advanced, author John Barban has made the process of achieving it approachable, even for beginners. If you want to build a stunning body with curves in all the right places, this is the course for you.
